As a female, at first I found it intimidating, because there’s a level of comfort in looking pretty and feminine, and until I got into Krump, that was all I knew. The more I lean into the essence of the style and culture, the more rewarding it gets as you unlock a new sense of strength and power. I’m moving so far away from the limitations of gender that I don’t think about them anymore, because I’m just focused on carving out a space for myself.”
